“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” -Matthew 7:7
Blessings and Bubbles
Wow! We had a huge blessing in that we secured funding for the cost of the molds. Molds are our second largest start-up cost after the prototype expenses. With the purchasing of molds so close, we want to ensure that everything will go smoothly so we tested out Eve’s newly improved arm with a 3D print.
Thus the bubbles- we had to soften the arm to be able to put the joint in, but when Eve is made in the factory the process is completely different!
We had already implemented that design change for Eve but had only seen it in our 3D software. It was really neat seeing the final design physically.
Ongoing Factory Search
While we are still in talks with factories, Chinese New Year and the power outages in Texas caused delayed responses from potential factories in February. Now, ramifications from covid-19 are wreaking havoc on some of the factories we are negotiating with in China. We want to ensure that we are going to work with a factory that is ethical and conducive to making Eve doll reasonably priced and of expected quality so prayers are appreciated as we search for a factory that makes the cut. Not compromising on our values and the value of Eve doll means a more difficult search, but we sincerely believe that God will help us find the right factory!
Launch Still Happening in 2021!
The big important thing is that we are getting increasingly closer to the launch of Eve doll. Thank you for your support thus far as we look to a launch in late April/early May. Since the mold costs are covered, we are confident in our ability to collect pre-orders and manufacture Eve doll. Each share, subscribe, and support all help contribute to a successful launch. It’s like each of us are making the water hotter until it finally boils!
